Book worms

Another update on book reading. This time but, I have three in my kitty. Flipkart surprises people with a flat 50% off on all books and do you have to guess my excitement?
I went on shopping spree on it and bought three important books.

1) Murakami - South of the border, West of the Sun
Murakami writes just as well as we want him to write. His writing so much speaks about a common thread his characters find with me, including the love for cats!  A very churning novel about Hajime and Shimamoto's lost friendship that I haven't kept the book aside since I opened to smell its pages. It's going precisely well and I can't wait to be lingering on it even after finishing the last page - much like Murakami's other books.

2) The Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoevsky
I read a condensed, edited version of this book once (kids' version) and has been since then its fan. I remember losing a thick copy of that of my mother's and earning her anger on the loss; she bought another one, however; this is my copy. Let's see if Alexei still has that intriguing charm.

3) Khaleid Hosseini - And the Mountains Echoed
On a 50% discount, Khaleid Hosseini's 'And the Mountains Echoed' was a good bargain. For the hefty price it has been quoted, the first few chapters seem to bring justice. However, somehow unlike Kite Runner, this book is not a pushing read. I am on it though: 5th chapter - reading about Abollah and Pari and the winds of Kabul seems like an ocean of emotions!

Happy reading y'all!
